If you’re a fan of Firefox, you’re going to like this.

Firefox 103.0 has just been released and brings support for monitors with a 120Hz refresh rate, which includes the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Pro or M1 Max chips. The feature is known as ProMotion and is currently offered on the 2021 model MacBook Pro notebooks.

The update also offers improved responsiveness during periods of high CPU load by switching to a modern lock API. The new version also offers an autocomplete feature for PDF forms.

With improved performance on high-refresh rate monitors with 120Hz or more, 2021 MacBook Pro users will finally experience that smoother scrolling and surfacing the web on Firefox.

Other new features include an improved Picture-in-Picture subtitles feature, wherein users can directly change the font size from the PiP window. PiP subtitles are currently available at Funimation, Dailymotion, Tubi, Hotstar, and SonyLIV.

Finally, buttons in the Tabs toolbar can now be reached with Tab, Shift+Tab, and Arrow Keys.

Firefox 103.0 also brings a few new accessibility features for Windows users and the ability to access the browser through the pinned taskbar during installation on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Firefox 103.0 is available for free and requires macOS 10.12.0 Sierra or later to install and run.
